Join us as a sponsor in 2019 to help continue the momentum and make Civic Center an inclusive place to shop, eat, drink and play.

Friday Markets

Help us expand successful markets in UN Plaza by adding a NEW market day on Fridays in 2019. The Friday market will feature a selection of produce booths from the popular Heart of the City Farmers’ Market as well as new local artisan booths. Hot food vendors and inviting communal seating will make this market a lunchtime destination, and free interactive activities will encourage people to linger in the plaza to play, create, and interact.

1st Sundays Block Party

The 1st Sunday Commons Block Party series was an enormous success in 2018, and we need your help to continue producing this event! In 2019, 1st Sunday events will bring back successful programming such as street soccer and roller skating, local artisan booths, and free DIY craft activities alongside food trucks, music, and dancing. These family-friendly Sunday events activate Fulton Street, building on the energy of the Asian Art Museum’s FREE 1st Sunday admission program and connecting the Sunday Heart of the City Farmers’ Markets to the Helen Diller Civic Center Playgrounds.

Holiday Celebration

Help bring holiday joy to the young and young-at-heart by supporting the Annual Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting and Toy Giveaway. This annual event features performances, shopping, ice skating, and festive holiday activities.

Friday Picnics

New for 2019, the Friday Picnic event series will bring a charming after work vibe to Civic Center Plaza during the warmest months of the year (September and October). The event will feature music, games, and picnic seating, along with a bar and food offerings to help start the weekend off right!
